The Magic Mind Drink – Will It End Procrastination? Full Review…
“I know what I need to do. I know what I should do. So, why can’t I get myself to do it?” Questions like these have circulated in my head as far back as I can remember. From not wanting to do homework in grade school, to putting off important but difficult tasks at work, procrastination has a way of following you.
Maybe you’ve had thoughts and struggles like this as well. Once I went to college, I decided I had enough. I was determined to figure out a way to increase my productivity.
I tried everything under the sun. Some things worked, most things fell flat. But I was determined to figure it out.
Now, with more than a few years under my belt since graduation, I have come a long way. Although, I’m still far away from where I’d like to be. I’m always in pursuit of new methods to claim more productivity each day and have the ability to go to bed tired and fulfilled with my day’s work.
Enter: The Magic Mind Drink.
(TLDR Summary: The drink is great and I loved it. Grab your Magic Mind here with a $20 coupon using this link if you don't want to finish the article.)

Scrolling social media, I saw an ad for Magic Mind. I passed over it the first few times. Although, one time it caught my attention. I heard a line about Magic Mind helping to “end procrastination”. This piqued my interest.
Could a drink end procrastination? Does a “Magic Pill” actually exist? I had to try it.
My 15-Day Review of Magic Mind
I received a 15-day supply of Magic Mind and put it to the test. I drank Magic Mind first thing every morning for 15 days.
After testing Magic Mind for 15 days, I can confidently say, yes, the Magic Mind Drink does work to help increase productivity and decrease procrastination.
Although, the reasons for this are probably different than you think (they certainly were for me). Before we dive into my results, let’s first take a quick look at what Magic Mind even is.
What is Magic Mind?
Magic Mind is a green drink comprised of matcha, adaptogens, nootropics, and honey to help with cognition, energy, and balance. We’ll dig into the individual ingredients below and their specific effects on the body and mind.
How is it packaged?
Magic Mind comes in the form of a small 2oz green drink. They are shipped in either 15 or 30 bottle quantities. I typically don’t spend much time on reviews talking about packaging, but I have to say, I was impressed with this company’s packaging and attention to detail.
When you first cut open the box it is shipped in, it folds out to reveal a fully printed interior with messaging on the sides that read, “Magic meets science at magicmind.co/learn” and on the other side, “It’s not magic, it’s you.”
The smaller package within the larger box that actually contains the drinks has a label on the front with a testimonial from Forbes, and a step-by-step guide on how to use the drink which is handy.
The guide reads:
- Keep refrigerated for best results
- Take alongside your morning coffee or tea
- Shake. Breath. Drink.
- Benefits build up with consecutive daily use.
- Sensative stomach? Try Magic Mind with food.
Once you open the smaller interior box, you’ll see the actually drinks packaged in 2oz plastic bottles.
The individual bottles are very well made. If they were larger than 2oz, I would certainly keep them for reuse.
Why was Magic Mind created?
Back in 2014, James Beshara, had a trip to the emergency room. The doctor told him the two main causes of his ailments were stress and caffeine.
James was running a company of about 50 employees and the stress was causing him to have multiple coffees every day leading to extremely high caffeine intake.
The doctor recommended he stick to a single coffee each day, and to try and mix it with something like Green Tea since it has an element called L-Theanine that is known to slow down and extend the life of caffeine in the body.

This recommendation got James thinking about the possibilities of drinking a supplement that would assist in limiting the negative effects of caffeine while increasing the positive effects.
Beshara spent the next 7 years researching nootropics, nutritional mushrooms, and adaptogens to find the perfect formula. After 50+ iterations of the drink, the Magic Mind that is sold today was born.
In addition, Magic Mind has a scientific advisory board of 5 members (all MDs or MPAS) that continually review and improve the drink formulation.
This is certainly something most supplement companies can’t claim.
Who is Magic Mind For?
Magic Mind is perfect for anyone in a similar situation to James. If you need a heightened cognitive function to maintain high performance without the crash and burn of normal stimulants or the negative side effects, Magic Mind can help.
I am an entrepreneur and also run a company and this is the exact situation I find myself in and what drew me to the supplement.
I would recommend even if you are happy with your energy levels, productivity, and feel you can relatively sustain it each day, to still try Magic Mind for 15 days. This will give you a good idea of how effective you actually were before and the effects the drink has on you.
This might not be for everyone, but I think it could significantly help the majority of people if they stuck with it and were consistent. Even better is paired with new productive habits which we’ll talk about below.
What’s in it – The Ingredients
If you are not too interested in a detailed breakdown of the ingredients, feel free to skip to the next section.
Typically, I have found it beneficial for me to “nerd out” on the ingredients and, more specifically, their quantities and see what medical and research literature supports the claims and/or dosage that is in the supplement for these reviews.
This will be difficult to do as Magic Mind lumps all their main ingredients into their “Proprietary Energy Blend” and only gives the cumulative serving amount (meaning we can’t see the individual amounts included of each ingredient on the list).
The good news is that typically, the ingredients are labeled in order of highest dosage to the lowest dosage giving us at least a rough idea of the quantities included.
Ashwagandha Root
Ashwagandha, also known by the technical name of KSM-66, is one of my favorite ingredients in this product. KSM-66 was developed using over 14 years of study. Some benefits include:
- Reduced stress, anxiety, cortisol levels and stress-related food cravings
- Promotion of enhanced memory and cognitive function
- Promotion of endurance, strength, muscle size and muscle recovery rate
- Enhanced sexual performance health in both men and women, and testosterone in men
There are many clinical studies backing up this ingredient. One of the other benefits, and the benefit specifically listed by EarlyBird, is to limit the so-called “brain fog” that happens when you first wake up.
While the typical recommended dosage is around 600mg, it is unlikely this amount is included in Magic Mind, but it may be close as the first ingredient on the list. It still has benefits at lower dosages, but the benefits are not as substantial as they could be with a higher dose.
Bacognize
Next up is an ingredient called Bacognize also referred to as bacopa monnieri. Bacopa monnieri is basically and adaptogenic herb that helps your body become more resistant to stress. This, intern, leads to the benefits that come from lower stress levels such as learning, focus, attention, cognitive wellness, memory and a host of other positive effects.
Again, similar to the ingredient above, the recommended daily dose by the manufacturer themselves is between 300-600mg / day. I would guess Magic Mind comes in on the lower side of this dosage.
Chlorophyllin
Chlorophyllin is a chemical that is made from chlorophyll. This is often referred to as the element that gives plants their green color. In addition, it’s also an effective anti-inflammatory and antioxidant for our bodies.
Inflammation is not something that is as widely studies as I believe it should be, but the studies that have been done, clearly show that increases in inflammation within the body lead to a whole host of negative side effects and health problems.
Anything that limits this inflammation is a step in the right direction as overall health and well-being are concerned.
The recommended dosages of Chlorophyllin seem to be highly dependant on the reason for taking it. In general, it seems that a daily dose of around 100mg can be effective at providing the above benefits but can be as high as 300mg.
More information on this ingredient and the other medical use cases it has can be found here.
Curcumin Extract
Curcumin Extract is taken from turmeric and has a host of positive health benefits, including some anti-inflammatory and antioxidants effects as the above ingredient.
What it is most known for, however, is the ability to boost brain-derived neurotrophic factors which help maintain your neurons life and function.
This leads to slower cognitive decline and can increase brain levels of the BDNF protein that plays a role in memory and learning.
This ingredient, along with the above ingredient bacopa monnieri, are often referred to as Nootropics.
Nootropics is a fancy word to describe any supplement that can improve a person’s cognitive performance.
lion’s mane mushroom
Lion’s mane mushrooms have been found to be beneficial in the treatment of anxiety and depression. With many animal studies completed proving this, there have also been human studies proving it as well.
While it’s likely also safe to say Lion’s Mane Mushroom can have a positive effect on cognition, most studies proving this have been done on animals, not humans.
This is an ingredient that has been proven effective even in small dosages and has not had any negative health effects even in high doses.
Does it help eliminate procrastination?
Now let’s get into the meat and potatoes of this review. What are the actual effects on procrastination and producctivity?
First, I think it’s vital to point out that this IS NOT a magic pill/drink. If you’ve had a lifelong struggle with procrastination, this drink won’t cure it overnight.
Although, this drink and all its ingredients, along with a plan of action and dedication to improvement, can get you to your productivity goals faster than you could without it. This is an important point that I don’t want to downplay.
When I started this 15-day challenge, I wanted to set myself up for success. I wanted to be consistent and not miss a day to test the claim that the effects build with time/consistency.
Next, I set a strict bedtime and wake-up time to keep each day consistent.
Finally, I made it a point to write down my 3 most important tasks of the coming day each night before bed.
All of these things, combined with the Magic Mind drink, helped me have an extremely productive 15 days (which also extended into productivity after those 15 days as well).
I can guarantee you that if I just had this drink every morning, without taking any action in moving towards productivity, the 15 day trial would have been wasted.
This drink can’t put in the work for you, but it can help you do the work more effectively if you are actually willing to put in the effort.
How quickly do you notice results?
I didn’t notice much of anything the first two days other than just a general increase in productivity from the attached habits I mentioned above.
By day 3-5, I started noticing I had more sustained energy throughout the day. I wasn’t sitting there half a sleep in the office wishing for a nap. I was just active. This was a pretty big change for me.
Days 6-15 were more of the same. I had better-sustained energy allowing me for focused time to get the work done I needed to.
I would say this drink works like a compound effect. Not only do the ingredients build over time, but the success you have each day motivates you to try that much harder the next day, and the next day.
How does it taste?
So, how does it taste? I’ll be honest, I hate the taste of most supplements. Most protein powders make me gag no matter how hard I try to not think of it.
I’ve had some past experiences with green juice and pretty much knew the flavor to be expected. I personally don’t hate the taste of green juices, although I wouldn’t drink 12 ounces of one just for the fun of it. Magic Mind was no different.
It tastes just like you’d expect a green juice to taste. Although, being that it’s only two ounces, you can drink it in one or two bug gulps and be done with it. This is what I did.
At such a small quantity, You barely have time to taste it. Follow it up with a big drink of water and you’re set. I don’t see this as a big barrier for most people.
If this was a 16 oz drink, sure. I don’t think many people would be able to do it. At 2 ounces, I think anyone can do it.
Do I still need coffee/caffeine, or does this replace it?
This is up to you, but the company themselves recommend drinking it alongside your daily dose of caffeine. I personally had it with caffeine each morning.
How Much Does Magic Mind Cost?
Magic Mind is not cheap. I don’t think anyone would try to claim that in comparison to other drinks out there. However, few drinks can compete on quality of ingredients and the effect on productivity.
If Magic Mind is something you are considering, I would recommend you don’t simply compare it to the cost of a coffee, but instead, think of the actual financial and health benefits that can come through improved performance each day.
How much is that worth to you? This number is different for everyone, but personally, I see the cost of this as very lower compared to the benefits derived from it.
Currently, as this review is written, Magic Mind costs $4.95 per bottle if done as a one-time purchase. If you subscribe monthly, it drops the cost to $3.25 per bottle ($97.50/month vs. $148.50 a month for a 30-bottle supply).

Conclusion
As I started this review, I recommend you try Magic Mind for 15 days and form an opinion for yourself. The cost of a 15-day supply is minimal in the grand scheme of things, and at worst, you get some health benefits. At best, you have increased productivity that has a profound effect on your life both from a health and financial standpoint.
